Clownfish were the proof. Captive-bred fish arrive already eating prepared food and skip the collecting damage that used to kill a third of imports in the first month.

Dragonets followed. A captive-bred mandarin that takes frozen mysis is a different animal from a wild one that only hunts pods. Wrasses are next; availability is still patchy, but the direction is not.
