Captive-bred marine fish: what changed in five years

Clownfish were the proof. Captive-bred fish arrive already eating prepared food and skip the stress of collection and shipping.

Dragonets followed. A captive-bred mandarin that takes frozen mysis is a different animal from a wild one that only hunts pods. Wrasses are next; availability is still patchy, but the direction is not.

Ask the shop which farm. If they do not know, keep looking.
